Ok, Here's a poll that should get some talking points going.

Having watched Jason Scotland since his arrival at the club, personally I think he is nothing special and i'm not a JS fan, so with nothing else to do i thought i'd post this Poll to see how others felt on STID.

A truthful, honest oppinion would be appreciated.

The poll will run till the end of the year.

He has no first touch, has no control and even if he was playing in an opponents half and all the defenders stood off him he would still blunder his touches.

If he had a pertner he'd make them look bad.

most of his goals last year came when he had a strike partner. You're not a Trundle mark are you? He'd be useless in our system.

well...he played a major part in gettin us into the Championship so i really can't knock him to be honest. I wouldnt say he was pure class mind...and lets face it his ball controll is the other end of the scale compaired to Trunds....but maybe like db said, a quality partner required hmm

DB, Trunds would be knocking them in for fun with this midfield.

As much as i'd like to see that, I doub't he would. a 4-5-1 system requires the striker to link with the wingers, play with thier back to goal and actually put in a decent work rate.

Towards the end of his time here, he was lazy and selfish but he got away with it because he was a fans favorite. People make a big fuss of the the way he's been played at Bristol but the truth is after paying a million for him, if he was good enough he'd be playing and scoring regularly.

For me of all of our strikers of the past few years, the one that stands out as a foil for Scotland is Bayo. When he ran with the ball he took the entire defence with him.

Of our current players, I thought that Pintado would be our best choice but he hasn't been good enough since his back injury. Bauza puts a solid shift in but isn't a predator, and Brandy needs to play his football lower down the league system for a while.

Scotland for me, is wasted in this system. But, he's experienced enough in it for it to work and it's the work he's put in to some of our games that allows our midfield to get amongst the goals. Although I do think he's been poor recently. Unfortunatley our other options aren't as good.

I think Scotland is a good player. If the fans stopped getting on his back maybe he would preform better.
Tbh i only think that his control and first touch need some brushing up but thats it. Without Jason Scotland we wouldn't be in this league and he is still scoring goals
He has scored more goals than Pintado but Pintado doesnt get any stick from the fans. shrug
