According to the official site , our January shopping has now been done and unless Brandy goes back to Manc you then there will be no other signings.

Is anyone else a little saddend by the fact he isnt looking to shore up the attack a bit more?

Nope because we are safe, both in terms of the table and financially. I'm happy enough.

I think it's about time I made a post on here, so here we go.

In response to the original question I am a bit gutted. We definitely need a striker, no doubt about that. Jason Scotland gets a few goals, but he is not the striker that will score us the goals that we will eventually need to get up to the Premiership. We could also do with a central midfielder in my opinion, one who is able to spread the play like Bodde can. We are missing someone who can do that extra special thing, and I believe that a player on loan who can play in the middle of the park would be able to give us that. That was our problem at the start of the season, and that is our very problem now. We are able to play a great starting 11 when everyone is fit, yeat we lose one player and we haven't really got the back up for it.

Anyway, I'm getting a little off topic, but I am gutted, and I am feeling a little let down considering we have signed a winger on loan from Southampton, and at the end of the day, why are they letting a player go when they are in the position they are in, so he can't be that good, and I'm also feeling let down with the fact that Martinez said he was after a striker, yet he hasn't gone and signed anyone. Maybe we should cahnge the chant from 'same old english, always cheating' to 'same old Martinez, always stubborn.

What's his name from Man U will consider any club that give him a five year contract! He's a striker!

The only time you should sign anyone in January is if you really need to.

We aren't desperate enough to risk our financial security. Martinez has aquired a player he felt we needed from the start, a pacy winger.

We aren't fighting at the bottom and we aren't pushing for promotion, so why spend the money if it's not essential?

I think that towards the end of January we will sign Alonso for the rest of the season and Dimi to a permanent deal.

Just smile people, we're in a nice position.
