International Duty.
Scotland has been called up by T+T for their clash against Cuba while Ashley Williams has been called up by John Toshack for the Wales friendly against denmark. Looks like we will be without these two for the Brum game.
A shame really as Williams is looking solid in defence while Scotland after scoring on sunday will be looking for more.

Well it gives a chance to Pintado starting or even Bauza lolDorristhejack wrote:Scotland has been called up by T+T for their clash against Cuba while Ashley Williams has been called up by John Toshack for the Wales friendly against denmark. Looks like we will be without these two for the Brum game.

Couldn't we have Owain or Tatey in defence? Move 'em around a bit?

Re: International Duty.
I don't think he's been called, the only one i've heard of is Williams going.
But then again I may be wrong!

Re: International Duty.
I suppose it gives Tate a good chance to stake a place too.
I doubt Martinez is too worried, hes built a squad capable of filling every position atleast twice so we should be ok like.
Hopefully Scotland will get a game and his journey wont be wasted.
And no OTJ aint been called up .

Thought it hadn't been mentioned, but then I wasn't sure if he was classed as under 21, then I started thinking if they were playing!!Dorristhejack wrote:I suppose it gives Tate a good chance to stake a place too.

Re: International Duty.
I doubt he will get a game to be honest. Its a world cup qualifier so its very important to them but who knows, maybe the messiah will have a quiet word with the coach again.

Re: International Duty.
We have lots of replacements of player eager to show their worth for the team so, personally, I think it's a good thing that Williams and Scotland are out on international duty
Serran will get his time to shine, hopefully

Re: International Duty.
It's a shame it's the Brum match and not someone easier, but isn't the Brum match on a Friday and the Wales match 2 days prior to that? If so, I think Tosh (being such a Jack) might take that into consideration and play Ash for a half only. I heard that Serran had a decent game on Tues after a shaky start. I think we can cope without JS for a match so I'm not too concerned about this.

I think it's 4 now mate. I think they changed it fairly recently. We've got 4 away on Int duty anyway haven't we? OTJ, Ash, Macca and JS.
To be honest I'm not sure that Martinez would want to postpone it anyway. He'll remember the fixture backlog from last season and just want all our games played when they're scheduled to be played. It's a shame Macca and OTJ were called up so late because it didn't leave much time to rearrange the fixture.
